Jormund the Elder

Jormund has been old for longer than most buildings in Resin have been standing. He was old when the Order of Taryn was founded. He was old when the last dragon war ended. He was present, he claims, when the Hammer was first forged — though he will not say by whom.

His knowledge of rune magic is without equal. He teaches Barow not because he believes in the cause, but because he believes in the cost. Someone who wields Thor’s power without understanding what it demands will eventually pay a price that cannot be bargained with.
