Grendo

Grendo commands Hrafn’s vanguard — the first wave of the Iron Army, the force designed to break defensive lines before the main body arrives. He is not subtle, he is not political, and he has no patience for either. He is, however, one of the most effective battlefield commanders in the north.

He was skeptical of Hrafn’s plan to march south. He has said so, loudly, on multiple occasions. He marched anyway, because Grendo’s loyalty is to the army, and the army follows Hrafn. Whatever reservations he has about the strategy, he has none about the execution.
