Season 1 of Barow’s Tempus of Bellum covers six episodes spanning the period from the night of the lightning strike through the signing of the Treaty of Ash. Here is everything you need to know before Season 2.

Barow is working late in Garan’s forge when the storm comes. The lightning strike activates the hammer’s runes. By morning, Barow has a weapon he doesn’t understand and war horns on the northern wind.

Eldham falls. Barow escapes with Hurley and a group of survivors. They encounter Freya on the road, who joins without explanation. The Order of Taryn’s soldiers are retreating — not defending. Something has changed in the capital.

The Order’s commander reveals that Taryn’s Hold has been compromised from within. Bartholomew has been feeding Hrafn intelligence for three years. The city cannot hold. Barow’s company is now the only organized resistance between Hrafn and the capital.

The Lionheart elves arrive — Mindo’s fleet crossing the Sundering Sea for the first time in four hundred years. The alliance is uneasy. The Battle of the Dunes nearly breaks it. The Treaty of Ash holds — barely — and Hrafn retreats north with something he found beneath the capital.

Season 2 picks up six months later. Hrafn is in Xevis. He is building something. And Trino, the Zer’osi scout, has just made contact with Barow’s camp.
