Resin
Resin
The Forge Lands Where rivers run dark with silt and skies glow red with forge fires. Resin is the homeland of Barow and the seat of the Order of Taryn. For four centuries, this land has known relative peace—until ancient enemies awaken and new alliances must be forged in fire. Key Locations Velthar’s End A worn-down outpost at the foot of the Crimson Hills. Here, Barow’s forge burns bright and destiny begins. The Kilian Guild maintains its smallest chapter here, where master craftsmen create the finest weapons in all of Resin. Castle Verascio The ancient fortress of the Order of Taryn, standing for over a millennium. Here, kings rule and heroes are forged. The castle’s black stone walls have withstood sieges, storms, and the passage of centuries. The Gates of Fire The strategic defensive position where the War of the Red Coast was won. Flames still flicker in memory of the fallen. It was here that Barow first proved his strategic genius, turning the tide against overwhelming odds. The Geography of Resin <strong style=”color: #FF5C00;”>Rivers: The dark waters of Resin carry silt from the Crimson Hills, giving them their distinctive black appearance. The largest, the Velthar River, flows past Barow’s outpost and provides water for the forges.

<strong style=”color: #FF5C00;”>Mountains: The Crimson Hills dominate the northern landscape, rich in iron ore and coal. Their peaks glow red at sunset, hence their name.

<strong style=”color: #FF5C00;”>Coast: The Sundile region features black ash beaches where the Order of Taryn first made contact with the Lionheart Elves.

<strong style=”color: #FF5C00;”>Mines: The Glacian Mines of Arroston produce onyx, topaz, and beryl—the foundation of Resin’s economy. The Order of Taryn For four centuries, the Order of Taryn has ruled Resin with justice and protection. Founded on principles of human flourishing and large families, the Order maintains a military hierarchy with Warlords and Generals leading the defense of the realm. The current era, marked by relative peace and prosperity, faces new threats from external forces—the Zer’osi dark elves and the orcs of Xevis. The Taryn Army, led by Warlords and Generals, maintains 10,000 active fighters with defensive positions at the Gates of Fire. The Silvin Guild manages the Bank of Graft and onyx trade. The Kilian Guild controls the Glacian Mines and weapon production. The Order promotes merit and honor—Bartholomew of Highwall rose from humble origins to become master swordsman through skill alone.
